The Drunk Flamingo came to life because I refused to slow down when inspiration struck. I thrive on chasing the next big thing, challenging the norm, and turning my wild ideas into unforgettable experiences for others. While some might see unmedicated ADHD as a challenge, I see it as my secret weapon—it’s what helps me think outside the box, connect seemingly random ideas, and create something truly unique.
Sure, it’s a bit chaotic, but isn’t that where the best ideas are born? The Drunk Flamingo is proof that when you embrace who you are, quirks and all, you can turn even the most restless energy into something amazing. Who says you can’t make magic out of a little madness?

Hi, I’m Joyce!
On the surface, I may seem like a calm and composed wedding photographer—but trust me, I know how to have fun! The Drunk Flamingo is my way of bringing all sides of my personality to life. It’s not just a photo booth business; it’s a brand that celebrates fun, confidence, and unapologetic self-expression.
Life is too short for boring photos, stiff poses, or holding back. I created The Drunk Flamingo to encourage people to let loose, live boldly, and design a life that excites them. Because the best memories? They happen when you stop caring what anyone else thinks.
I’ve always believed in doing things my way
I was raised by immigrant parents who built a life in America after growing up in extreme poverty in China. Hard work and resilience were ingrained in me, but so was the desire to create my own path. Choosing photography wasn’t the safe choice, and my parents weren’t thrilled. But in just six months, I built a six-figure business—then realized success at the cost of burnout wasn’t worth it.
I made a bold decision: work less, live more, and define success on my own terms. Turns out, I thrived even more by doing it my way. The Drunk Flamingo is an extension of that mindset—rejecting expectations and celebrating the wild, joyful moments in life.
